When Ryan Reynolds was cast as the Green Lantern, with an X-Men Origins: Wolverine spin-off for his character of Deadpool already in the works, Reynolds became the first actor not only to play two superheroes but also the first to play a hero from both Marvel and DC comics. In an article discovered by Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld and posted on his Twitter feed, Reynolds told Entertainment Weekly he sees no problem with the casting:

    "There's no rule that says you can't play two different characters in two different comic book universes."

Checking the comic-adaptation rule book verifies that Reynold's statement is true. Reynolds may not be done, either. In 2005, Reynolds was cast as The Flash before that project fell apart. Reynolds still sounds interested:

    "There's so many interesting comic book characters out there, I would love to do others."

If Reynolds does end up playing The Flash as well as Green Lantern, it would make a Justice League movie very Reynolds-centric.
