Looks Like 'Batman 3' Script Is In The Works

BatmanDavid Goyer, one of the masterminds behind the live-action "Batman" block busters, is no longer writing forĀ  ABC's science fiction television series "FlashForward."

"As my feature projects have started ramping up again, I felt I was being pulled in too many directions," Goyer said in a statement. "I'm proud of the show and excited about the relaunch. It's in great hands."

It is not known which features Goyer is talking about but I think it is pretty safe to assume he has his sights set on the third and probably final 'Batman' installment.

A snippet on Deadline Hollywood read "Goyer's feature career is really heating up, since he co-wrote Batman Begins, and penned the story for The Dark Knight, and is now writing the third Batman installment with Chris Nolan's brother Jonah."

Last summer MTV asked Goyer for a status update on a hopeful sequel to "The Dark Knight." He said that the sequel wouldn't move forward until Nolan finished his work on "Inception." Now, 'Inception' is heading to the finish line it could be time to fill up his plate again.

This fits the Chris Nolan 'Batman' time line. He made 'Batman Begins' in 2005, then took a break from the caped crusader and made 'The Prestige' in 2006. Then he went back to Batman in 2008 with The Dark Knight, only to then take a break and make Inception. We can only hope that this is the start of some beautiful news to come.
