It looks like the 'L.A. Times' got some of the answers we have been waiting for when it comes to the upcoming 'Batman ' and 'Superman' films. It has recently been rumored that Christopher Nolan would sit at the head of the 'Superman' reboot and now it looks to be confirmed.

Nolan told the Times that   “It’s very exciting, we have a fantastic story. And we feel we can do it right. We know the milieu, if you will, we know the genre and how to get it done right.”

Nolan is promising something that has rarely ever been done, a 'Superman' movie without 'Lex Luthor'. Nolan quashed the rumor -- no Brainiac or Luthor. Unfortunately he also said that 'Batman' and 'Superman' would not be part of the same Universe. That does note bode well for a 'Justice League' feature.
   
Nolan also promised that the third Batman film would be the last, and that much of the original cast would be back. "Viewing it as an ending, that sets you very much on the right track about the appropriate conclusion and the essence of what tale we’re telling. And it hearkens back to that priority of trying to find the reality in these fantastic stories. That’s what we do.”
