Since the very start, Ryan Reynolds has seemed very passionate and protective over the 'Deadpool' character he is set to portray. Reynolds has stated on several occasions that this movie will stick to it's comic book roots and it's need to "break the fourth wall." An actor can be passionate about a script but in the end, they don't write it.

With "Zombieland" writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick starting to pen the "Deadpool" script, it seems that the star of the film is not going to let the ink dry without making sure his vision is seen. "I talk to them every single day," Reynolds said in an interview at the Sundance Film Festival. "We're all very sick of each other already. It's actually a really wonderful creative trifecta — we're having a very good time." Reynolds said that Reese and Wernick were perfectly suited to tackle the "Deadpool" script due to their affinity for the character and the comic books.

"Totally, they got it," said Reynolds. "They just [understood 'Deadpool'] right off the bat. They're fans of the character and they were so excited. We couldn't have done any better [than Reese and Wernick]."

As of right now it looks like our 'Merc with a Mouth' is in good hands with our trio of fan boys. It is still unannounced when 'Deadpool' will go into production but Reynolds is staying busy with his 'Green Lantern' set to start in March.
