Actor Ryan McPartlin (Captain Awesome on "Chuck") revealed that he would love to play the lead in "Captain America."  "There's some Internet buzz out there that I'd be a good Captain America, and I'm not going to try and tell them I wouldn't want to play that role. That would be very cool," he previously stated. "My agents are keeping their ear to the pavement waiting to see what happens."

He has now revealed to Moviehole that his agents were able to get him an audition and that he's now waiting to find out if he got the role. "[Captain America] is in the casting process and like many other actors, I read for it. So we'll wait and see what happens," he said. The news around town is that he won't have to wait much longer. It has been promised that we will know who will wield the shield in the next few weeks.
