411mania is reporting that the director of 'The First Avenger: Captain America' Joe Johnston has confirmed some great news for us 'Captain America' fans regarding the main villain and our hero.

First, it is confirmed that Red Skull will be the villain in the movie. Johnston also said that they are definitely looking for an American actor to play the lead role, preferably an unknown, and that they hope to have that person in place by the end of the month. He also spoke about why the movie would mostly be set in World War II:

"Virtually the entire story except the bookends are in World War II because we all recognize we have one chance to tell the origin story of how he became Captain America, you can't tell a modern story and then go back and tell the origin story. If you're going to do it, let's do it. Let's do it first. Everyone wanted to tell an origin story. There was a version where it was a modern story and it didn't work."

The more news that come out about the upcoming movie, the more promising this looks to be a huge blockbuster.
