DAVE TAYLOR

Dave Taylor is an English illustrator and comic book creator. Taylor has drawn comic books since childhood, and after a time as a touring rock drummer, began drawing comics professionally in 1990 for Marvel UK.

Taylors early works for Marvel UK include Zorro, working alongside the legendary Alex Toth who provided artwork for the covers and Gene Dogs Which he co-created with John Freeman. This gained Taylor attention from Marvel in the US who employed him for a stint on the Iron Man series Force Works.

As Taylors work gained more and more attention in the industry, he was head hunted by DC to work on a Batman special, Batman: The Riddle Factory, and went on to work on the regular series Batman: Shadow of the Bat, Batman/Superman: Worlds Finest, and the New York Times best seller Batman: Death by Design, with darling of the publishing industry Chip Kidd.

Taylor has since produced work for Dark Horse, Image and Titan (Doctor Who), worked briefly in the computer games industry for Rage and Sony before returning back to comics for his debut with 2000AD where he co-created Judge Anderson: Big Robots, with Alan Grant. He has since illustrated numerous Judge Dredd stories for 2000AD and the Megazine, and is currently working on the second book of the acclaimed Dredd: Megatropolis series with highly acclaimed writer Kenneth Niemand.
