LEE SULLIVAN

Lee Sullivan trained as a wildlife and technical illustrator and worked as a graphic illustrator and freelancer before venturing into comic art in 1987 after meeting fellow comic book artist John Higgins. Lee has worked on various titles from Marvel UK & US, DC, 2000 AD, IDW and more.

He began work at Marvel in 1987 providing covers for The Transformers series of comics.

An avid Doctor Who fan, Lee has provided numerous strips for the Doctor Who Magazine and IDWs Doctor who comics. provided artwork for the BBC webcasts, official Doctor Who website and for a commemorative collection of UK stamps by Royal Mail.

From 2015-18 he produced six graphic novels for the ongoing Titan comic book series ‘Rivers of London’ - a continuation of Ben Aaronovitch's successful series of novels featuring Peter Grant, scripted by Ben and Andrew Cartmel.

Since 2018 Lee has worked as a concept artist in the TV industry, produced two album covers for his sax-playing hero, Roxy Music’s Andy Mackay; a series of English-as-a-foreign-language graphic novels for Penguin and written and drawn a new comic strip for Anderson Entertainment’s ‘Fireball XL5’ Anthology.
