Pete Smith Started his art journey at 2000 AD in the mid 1990s as a comic strip colourist.
During his time at university, Pete shared a flat with the son of legendary comic artist Cam Kennedy. After seeing the quality of Kennedys work, Pete was convinced he wanted to give it a go himself but being (in his own words) "terrible at art" he was unsure what to do. After a few years of practicing, Pete discovered was blessed with a natural eye for colour and was able to get some scans of original art by Cam Kennedy to colour and build a portfolio to show prospective clients.

Displaying his portfolio at Glasgow Comic Con, Pete was approached by the editor for Judge Dredd Megazine who gave him his first job - colouring a Brian Bolland front cover! Since then, Pete has coloured hundred of pages of artwork for various 2000 AD publications.

We are working with Pete to market his archive of early work. Many pages are by revered British artists, brought to life by Pete and many also feature the original letters over the top of Petes sublime colours.
