MUTE
10 years ago we bought a wonderful pop art painting of one of our favourite films, The Warriors, about a running battle between New York street gangs in the 1970s.
We discovered the work was by a young Sheffield artist called Mute. Being from our home town this was too good an opportunity to miss. We tracked Mute down and commissioned him to create a series of original paintings for our art collection, depicting the characters of my favourite sci-fi films.
What he created was truly remarkable. A juxtaposition of character and actor in his own inimitable style. We love the art and the guy who created them.
