In the late 70s and early 80s, Forbidden Planet were pioneers in the British comic book world. After the well known Dark They Were and Golden Eyed closed, they were largely responsible for keeping the comic book scene alive in London. They often held book signings from both British and American authors and artist, with legends such as Dave Prowse, Mark Hamill and Alan Moore making appearances there. Forbidden Planet may now be a large chain of stores but this posters is from their early years when they were a single store.
