Enter the Sandman

The latest Netflix series to grab me is based on known other than DC comics iconic Sandman series.

Comic book series have been inspired by Gods, mythology, space, wonder, history and biblical stories, anything that lets our imagination run wild. The Sandman series originally released by DC comics ran from 1989 to 1996 with very dark, weird and wonderful artwork which brought out the intense and obscene storylines making it stand out from DC's typical bright, colourful and cheerful art.

The comics and new series follow Morpheus, the Master of Dreams, trying to understand and rebalance the world whilst trying to rebuild his own dream realm. It's no wonder Netflix has released this new delightfully dark series with its success with similar titles like Stranger Things, Black Mirror and midnight Mass.

We have some gorgeous Raws from the original Sandman series which include some first appearances of the characters brought to life by writer Neil Gaiman and talented artists Sam Kieth, Mike Dringenberg, Jill Thompson, Shawn McManus, Marc Hempel, Bryan Talbot, and Michael Zulli.

We have issues #2-#8 and #22 in grades NM- to VF+.
