Forbidden Planet may now be a large chain of stores but they started off as a single store on Denmark Street, London. In the late 70s and early 80s, Forbidden Planet were pioneers in the British comic book world. After the well known "Dark They Were and Golden Eyed" comic book and fantasy store closed, they were largely responsible for keeping the comic book scene alive in London.

They often held book signings from both British and American actors, authors and artist, with legends such as Dave Prowse, Mark Hamill and Alan Moore making appearances there. These posters were used to promote these appearances and signings, and most will have been discarded afterwards. Luckily, someone though to keep some of these posters.

They came to us as part of a collection of comic book and related memorabilia. We have now uploaded them to our eBay store.
