A Few years ago iconic comic book artist Dave Taylor was asked by an editor at Marvel to create the artwork for a comic book titled “WHAT IF THE SILVER SURFER HAD BECOME THE ENEMY OF MANKIND?” He was asked to draw it in the style of the peerless Jack Kirby who had recently passed away.

The art was created, but the comic never materialised for reasons shrouded in mystery. 

Thankfully the art still exists and was recently unearthed by Dave Taylor in his archive. Twenty exquisite pages representing a fitting tribute to King Kirby including a stunning double page spread.

Gaze in awe and wonder at what might have been!
