Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is based on the Marvel Comics character, Shang-Chi who first appeared in Marvel's Special Marvel Edition #15 in December 1973. Actor Simu Liu will play the lead who is a skilled martial artist who is drawn into the mysterious Ten Rings organization who is forced to confront the past he thought he left behind.

The film’s cast also includes Tony Leung as Wenwu, Awkwafina as Shang-Chi’s friend Katy, and Michelle Yeoh as Jiang Nan. Additionally, Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu and Ronny Chieng appear in the upcoming movie, which is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.

The up-coming Marvel movie will be part of Marvel's Phase 4 and will be Marvel's 2nd movie released this year. It is going to be released in cinemas September 3rd 2021.
