DC have announced they are releasing two Robin miniseries which will follow events around Dick Grayson growing as Batman's side kick and the current and previous Robins come together to face a new enemy.

The original sidekick Robin has been a fan favourite in comics and on screen for over 80 years. The two up-coming comic miniseries due to be released in November a week after each other will give the Boy Wonder the spotlight.

The three issue 'Robin and Batman' will follow Robin back when he first became Batman's sidekick and had to deal with difficulties of facing thugs and accepting guidance from Bruce Wayne. Written by Jeff Lemire and artwork Dustin Nguyen, due to be released November 9th 2021.

'Robins' is a six issue series which follows all of the previous Robins; Dick, Tim, Jason Todd, Stephanie Brown and Damian Wayne as they compare their sidekick experiences and have to face a new enemy together who claims to be the original Robin. Written Tim Seeley and artwork Baldemar Rivas due out November 16th 2021.

I think Chadwick Boseman really brought a sense of charisma and calmness to Black Panther on screen which reflected the characters mannerisms seen in comics over the past 50 years. Boseman gave a big impact when we first met him as T'Challa prince of Wakanda in Captain America: Civil War before his Father dies and he became the King of Wakanda.

It has been recently revealed that his voice was also pre-recorded to appear as Black Panther in Marvel's 'What If...?' series due to be released later on this month on Disney+ August 11th. Many Marvel fans were saddened to hear that Chadwick Boseman had died last August but it's lovely that we will be able to see him reincarnated in the up-coming Marvel series.

In other Black Panther news, although The Marvel Avengers game didn't initially have the success they were hoping, T'Challa will be a play able character from August 17th as part of the Black Panther: War for Wakanda story expansion. The expansion is due to increase interest and encourage new and existing players to enjoy and explore The Golden City as well as Shuri’s laboratory, Zawavari’s chambers, and the Wakandan War Room.

Here are two of our favourite Black Panther Pieces in our store:

We have three very unique pieces of Marvel history given to us by our good friend Jason who served in Afganistan.

Most people won't know about these special 'POGS' and their worth. The coins shown is actually money, just like ordinary nickels, dimes and quarters in America. But, unlike regular coins in America, they are not legal tender. Printing currency is against the law so the AAFES (Army Air Force Exchange Services, the WalMart for the military) at the direction of the Department of Defense created these as "gift certificates" for use by service members participating in Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom and ISAF (Afghanistan). They are commonly referred to as POGS with them being similar to the popular 90's cardboard collectibles and the reason they are given to service members is basically because change would be too heavy to transport.

These special POGS are not for sale but we thought we'd share them with you. They will be kept safe here at the World of Superheroes HQ.

Some days it's too hot to be out in the sun or you could have a full week of thunderstorms and kids often want to get messy and demand constant sweet treats. These Venom Cupcakes look perfect for young children to have a go at! They are meant to be messy unlike a lot of the perfect cakes online. And they will love surprising their family and friends with them!

The cupcakes which I've found on Pinterest shows a very simple way to make a unique Venom style cupcake using a basic chocolate cupcake recipe, red M&Ms, Black icing and white buttons.

I will definitely be making these with my kids over the holidays to get excited for the Venom: Let there Be Carnage release in September. Or you could even make carnage ones with red icing!
