Over the years, both Marvel and DC have used the oversize Treasury Edition Format and graphic novels to bring together a compendium of previously published festive stories or for one off festive tales.

Here's are our Top 5 Christmas editions released over the decades.

5: 1976 GIANT SUPERHERO HOLIDAY GRAB BAG.
With an awesome cover by Gil Kane, this winter warmer featured stories featuring Spider-Man, the Hulk, Nick Fury and Doctor Strange. Although most of the stories weren’t specifically Christmas tales, they were all tinged with that feel good sentimentality.

4: 1975 GIANT SUPERHERO HOLIDAY GRAB BAG.
This one did contain Christmas stories featuring Marvels most popular heroes. Check out the tale of “ Spider-Man goes mad” from Amazing Spider-Man 28 by the classic team of Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, co creators of Spider-Man.

3: 2011. BATMAN. NOEL.
This dark and stylish graphic novel by writer artist Lee Bermijo takes its inspiration from Dickens, “A Christmas Carol”.
Read in front of a warm fire on Christmas Eve for a real treat.

2: 1998. SUPERMAN: PEACE ON EARTH.
Story by Paul Dini and sumptuous artwork by Alex Ross, this beautiful book encapsulates not only the spirit of Christmas but also the essence of the selfless Man of Steel.

1: 1974 GIANT SUPERHERO HOLIDAY GRAB BAG.
With a timeless cover by Romita and Buscema, this is surely the coolest Festive collection ever containing the most heartwarming Marvel tale ever, “Have yourself a Sandman little Christmas” a reprint of Marvel Team Up #1 featuring Spidey and the Human Torch facing off against Sandman.

LEGO Batman Bath Bombs

Looking through some craft ideas to do if the kids are stuck inside on a rainy day or even if you fancy making some to fill those stockings this Christmas. I found this on 'See Vanessa Craft' and it looks messy and great fun for any age. You just need to get a mold and a few ingredients but you can make it smell how you want with different oils and different colours. Joker Green, Harley Quinn Red, you can be as creative and unique as you want, the kids will love getting messy with these and you can add any plastic toy you want but obviously LEGO characters fit great.

Ingredients
1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid
1/2 cup Epsom salts
3/4 cup corn starch
1 teaspoon water
2 teaspoon peppermint essential oil (Personal choice)
3 teaspoon olive oil
5-10 drops food coloring (Your Choice)
bath bomb molds

Obviously make sure anyone making or using the bombs isn't allergic to any of these ingredients above, substitutes or other recipes will be online elsewhere.

Quick & Easy Recipe
Just combine the baking soda, citric acid, Epsom salts and corn starch together in a large mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the water, peppermint oil, olive oil and your choice of food colouring. Combine the wet with the dry ingredients, using a whisk or spoon. Mix until the ingredients are smooth then after 10 minutes, remove the bath bomb from the molds and allow to completely dry and harden overnight. There you go easy peasy, put in water or a bath and leave to dissolve to magically present your surprise. If anyone makes these we'd love to see them, share them via our social media.

If you do have a go please share your bombs with us via our social media on the links to the right.

Deadpool is undoubtedly a fan favourite on screen as well as in comics and Ryan Reynolds stunning performance as the Merc with the Mouth only enhances that love.

Rumors are buzzing on the internet about Reynolds possibly signing on for a lot more Marvel movies in the future. He seems to be in a new movie every week so whether he would commit to so many Marvel films is unclear but he has often confessed his love for the character and is due to be in the third Deadpool movie which is currently in early production.

Deadpool is mainly seen in the X-Men universe in comics so it would tie in to my other article thinking that the up-coming WandaVision series on Disney+ might introduce mutants into the MCU. More news is said to be coming about the third movie including the title.

Whether this rumour is true, myself, and I'm sure many other Deadpool fans, will enjoy seeing Wade Wilson in more of his own movies or popping up in other story lines.

Yet another DC movie has been postponed this week. The Batman, which is due to be Robert Patterson's first batman movie has been delayed to 2022.

Cineworld's in the UK and U.S are temporarily closed due to the restrictions and knock on effect caused by the pandemic. Patterson has recently contracted Covid-19 himself but are now back filming.

The movie is said to not just be another origin but will show what events and people shaped the Batman. It will bring back to the big screen the iconic villains we haven't seen since the 80's and 90's. Paul Dano will be The Riddler, Colin Farrell is Penguin and Zoe Kravitz will play Catwoman. "Paul Dano plays a version of the Riddler that no one has ever seen before... what he is doing is going to blow people's minds," Director Matt Reeves has said in an interview about Dano taking on the part. Andy Serkis is going to be Alfred as well Jeffrey Wright taking on the role of Commissioner Gordon. There are a lot of big names in this movie and it looks like we will see a much darker version of the villains compared to the daft, light hearted ones we remember fondly from the 90's. The film is due to be released on March 4th 2022.
